Green Flag Award for 2022-23
Hedgemead Park has done it again! For the fourth year running our park has won the coveted Green Flag Award, which recognises excellence in parks and green spaces throughout the UK and abroad. Congratulations to the Council’s Parks Department and their grounds team, and to HPF’s wonderful gardeners, for bringing the award home again.

Hedgemead Park was one of six parks and green spaces in Bath to have won the award this year, the others being Alexandra Park, Bloomfield Green, Henrietta Park, Royal Victoria Park and Haycombe Cemetery. So, very well done to BANES and to all the friends’ groups for keeping these important civic amenities looking so wonderful.
The Green Flag Award scheme is managed by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy under licence from the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities. It recognises and rewards well-managed parks and green spaces, setting the benchmark standard for the management of green spaces across the United Kingdom and around the world.
