Gardening Schedule Autumn/Winter 2022-23
by Graham · Published · Updated
The Friends’ gardening sessions provide much needed support to the excellent work of the Council’s grounds team. Our remit does not extend to using machinery or power tools, so we focus on tasks that have aesthetic value, such as keeping walls, paths and beds tidy, planting bulbs and native perennials, developing wildflower areas, and ensuring the park is kept litter-free. There’s always such a lot to be done but we hope you like what we’ve achieved so far!
Our gardeners are a friendly and sociable bunch, having varying levels of gardening expertise. If you’d like to join us for a couple of hours of fresh air in a wonderful setting, why not come along to one or two sessions? It’s really uplifting and you’d be made to feel very welcome.
