Broadly, the aims of the Friends of Hedgemead Park (HPF) cover:
- conservation and improvement of the park’s infrastructure;
- fostering wildlife and biodiversity;
- prioritising planting to reduce airborne pollution;
- succession tree planting;
- organising community events;
- promoting the park’s history and heritage.
HPF can only achieve these aims through collaboration and cooperation with B&NES Council. An active community group is more likely to be listened to and attract money and resources. HPF is therefore the best way to get our voice heard on the issues that matter to us all and to ensure that Hedgemead Park is preserved for future generations to enjoy.
