A huge ‘thank you’ to all the volunteer gardeners for their great work today. And what a lovely sunny Autumn morning it was!
The team continued the work of tidying the long bed at the back of the bandstand. We filled three ‘ton bags’ with ground ivy, buddleja, brambles and weeds. The cleared ground was also prepared for bulb planting, so that we get some interest and colour in Spring. It’ll look so much better next year.
In addition, the wildflower roundels below the central zone were cleared of annuals, leaving the perennials in place for next year. The spaces were then planted with Spring bulbs.
