New Flagpole for Hedgemead Park

A  few days ago, contractors for B&NES came to install a new 7m flagpole in the northeastern zone of Hedgemead Park. The flagpole is prominently visible from London Street, Walcot Street and The Paragon and now proudly flies the park’s Green Flag Award flag.

The Friends of Hedgemead Park are pleased to welcome this impressive addition to the park’s infrastructure, which makes quite an imposing sight for visitors to the park and users of the busy roads directly outside.

Ever since Hedgemead Park won the coveted Green Flag Award in July 2019 the Friends have been hoping to see the flag flying somewhere in the park. Now the job is done and it looks great. Well done to the B&NES Parks Team!
