Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Preparations

To mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee during the extended weekend of June 2nd – 5th, we are planning to decorate the lovely bandstand in Hedgemead Park. As there is likely to be a lot of bunting and flags about, we thought we would be a bit different and have the official Jubilee emblem as a centrepiece, with some drapes, and lots of greenery.

We will be putting this together on Tuesday May 31st and Wednesday June 1st, hoping to keep it all intact until the end of the weekend, and taking it all down on Monday 6th.

Anyone who would like to help will be very welcome, from helping to gather greenery, decorating or just providing moral and artistic support!
