Park Social and 2025 AGM
Hedgemead Park is often described as one of Bath’s hidden gems – leafy, secluded, packed with historical interest and unlike any other of Bath’s heritage parks. This is so true and it’s looking particularly lovely just now as everything explodes into leaf.
The Friends of Hedgemead Park is a community group set up and run by volunteers whose purpose is to support the work of the Council’s Parks Team and to represent the interests of the local community in the park’s maintenance, now and into the future.
Every year we get together to meet and talk about the park, our achievements, challenges and plans. Importantly, we want to hear from you too – what do you think about the park?
This year we’ll have short talks on the interesting history of the park’s Grade II listed Victorian drinking water fountain and how we’ve developed our wonderful wildflower meadow.
And as a constituted group, we also need to include some AGM formalities such as electing committee members and running through our accounts. But mostly we’ll keep things informal.
So why not come along and join the discussion over tea/coffee and possibly a slice of cake! Your voice is very important to us. Everyone is welcome.
