Your Park Community Impact TLC Award

Your Park Bristol & Bath held an online Volunteer Get Together & Celebration today. The purpose of the event was to acknowledge and celebrate the huge contribution that community Friends Groups make to their local parks and open spaces in Bristol and Bath.

The very inspiring guest speaker was Chair of Natural England, Tony Juniper, who spoke eloquently about the importance of inner-city parks in restoring our natural world.

A number of awards were handed out and we are delighted to have won in the ‘Community Impact – TLC’ category for our contribution to the care of Hedgemead Park. Great result! Huge congratulations to all our volunteers for making this happen.

We were also one of the groups shortlisted for the People’s Choice Award. Many thanks to everyone who voted for us. This was overwhelmingly won by the Friends of Brislington Brook, who are very worthy winners. Well done to them.
